developing partners cic
We quickly realised that there are many more people who are pushed out of society than just us and we began to take a more socially inclusive approach to what we do and how we do it.
We now adopt a Human Rights Based Approach to the work that we do in that we focus upon working with the people who are the most vulnerable first within our society and we work upwards from there. We work on the premise that if we get it right for them then we will get things right for the majority of us as we all have some experience of being pushed out and the damage this can do to us personally.
We are open to everyone but we are particularly interested in working with the following individuals, groups and communities:
People with mental health needs and experiences
People for whom the environment is disabling
People who have a learning disability
People who are seeking asylum
People who are members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered community
Women who have experienced sexual abuse and / or domestic violence whether in their country of origin or here in the UK
People who have been granted refuge here in the UK
People who are homeless and / or destitute
People who have young children
People who have committed offender behavour or are at risk of doing so.
